Nice to meet you!
Hello! I’m Kelly Keck, and I am a licensed mental health counselor, born and raised in New York. I have Master’s degrees in both Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Forensic Psychology. In my therapy practice, I believe in a holistic and person-centered approach. The brain, body, and soul all work together - when one is out of sync, it throws off the balance of the entire person. I work collaboratively with my clients to build a trusting and empathetic bond.
In my sessions, I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic approaches to help you identify and understand behavioral patterns. In this way we can create new processes and develop stronger, healthier coping mechanisms. I am also trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) as a therapeutic tool. If you’d like to know more about EMDR please reach out.
In addition to my training as a counselor, I am also a certified NBHWC functional wellness coach. I’m very passionate about understanding the mechanisms between nutrition, movement, and our body’s internal systems. I believe that the things you put into your body and the environment you surround yourself with have measurable effects on your mental and emotional well being.
When I’m not working, I can often be found practicing yoga and spending time with my husband, daughter and dog!
